Repair Microsoft Office Outlook .pst file with scanpst.exe

You can repair Microsoft Office Outlook database(.pst ) related issues with inbox repair tool (scanpst.exe). This tool comes with Microsoft Office CD-Rom.

Location of this utility may vary depending upon you office installation and Microsoft Office version :

For older versions :

<disk drive>:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi\1033\

<disk drive>:\Program Files\Common Files\System\MSMAPI\1033

For outlook 2007:

<disk drive>:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12

If you are not sure where to find the current .pst file. Check the path from Tools ->Options -> Mail Setup Tab ->Data Files Button.

Now simply run scanpst.exe and select .pst file you want to scan.
